Goldman’s revamping its retirement policy in 2009, possibly leading some to leave before the change

Goldman's current retirement policy is that if your age plus the length of time you've worked at the firm is greater than 55 the restricted stock you've been paid over time immediately vests (as opposed to a 3 year vesting otherwise).  In 2009 that's all gonna change when the "rule of 55" becomes the "rule of 60".  That may give some employees incentive to head for the exits before the changes take place:
