NIMBY!: This morning’s NY Post says that Ruth Madoff, newly permanently ejected from her $7M palatial E.64th street digs, is maybe possibly contemplating the purchase of a condo at the Trafalgar House. (120 E. 90th Street). The only one said to be listed is tiny 481 sq foot unit with an asking price of $465K. Apparently her real estate broker took a look leading to the speculation.
Ruth’s old 4 bedroom crib (with 3 maids quarters, huge dining room, kitchen and library) was a bit more spacious: 4,000 sq feet.
One would be neighbor was reported as saying: “Oh, my God, that would be so horrible”…”We don’t want that tension here.”
Ruth’s lawyer, Peter Chavkin, seemed to throw water on the purchase idea, stating: “Given her economic circumstances, it’s completely ridiculous to even suggest that she would be looking to buy something”. The Trafalgar House residents can only pray that’s true…
