Even when she goes underground, she can’t escape the prying lenses of the press: Ruth Madoff is photographed by the NY Post using a mode of transportation that she probably hasn’t taken in a forever: the SUBWAY! And the irony is that she’s captured sitting beneath a 99¢ sign. Too funny.
The millionaire wife of Bernard Madoff, who ruined the lives of thousands of trusting friends and innocent investors, yesterday took a stroll through Rockefeller Plaza and rode the F train beneath an ad promoting a 99-cent cellphone bargain.
And Ruth wasn’t too happy about being caught on the subway. According to the Post she said:
“Are you having fun embarrassing me — and ruining my life?” she angrily snapped at a Post photographer.
